How do I connect my HomePod to the Home app?
Tap Set Up when it appears on your device's screen. Follow the onscreen instructions to choose your HomePod settings. You can also customise and manage all of the settings for HomePod in the Home app after you've set up your HomePod. When asked, centre HomePod in the viewfinder on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to complete pairing.
How to use HomePod on iPhone X?
On iPhone X, swipe down from the upper right corner of the screen. 3D Touch or long press on the Now Playing panel in Control Center. Tap your HomePod Now Playing panel. Tap the Play/Pause button to play or pause audio. Tap or press the Skip Song button to skip to the next track. Note that you can't skip back to a previous track.

You and members of your home can transfer audio from your iPhone or iPod touch to your HomePod to keep playing from where you left off.
